The sports and association unit is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the municipality's sports facilities. This includes ice rinks, sports halls, natural grass fields, artificial grass fields, athletics facilities, outdoor swimming pools, and spontaneous activity areas.

The unit's primary goal is to provide the residents of Täby municipality with the best possible conditions for being physically active. We are now looking for a full-time employee who can work with the operations of our indoor facilities in the municipality.

The position will be based at the sports center (Tibblehallen) in Täby. The job includes evening and weekend work.

The unit aims to offer top-class hospitality. The tasks are varied, and no day is the same as the other. The primary task for you and your colleagues is to create an attractive and inviting environment in the facilities. At the 7000 sqm facility, you will meet many people whom you will assist in various ways. This could involve showing a primary school class to the correct changing room or providing support to an association during an ongoing competition or match. As a sports worker, you are always the face of our operation and ensure that all visitors feel welcome and are met by a facility that maintains high standards.

Your duties will include ensuring that everything works as it should and that everything is clean and tidy, as well as finding new solutions and ideas that facilitate for our visitors. The job also includes administrative tasks such as handling emails, bookings, reporting issues, purchasing, and contacting associations, schools, and suppliers. Some flexibility and prioritization are required as the position is mobile since we oversee and are responsible for about 25 sports halls in the municipality and also have maintenance responsibility for the ice rink in the square during winter.

During the summer when the sports halls close, you will also assist our teams working on the outdoor side.

Who are you?

You are a person who is humble and can pitch in where needed. You enjoy working at a varied pace in an environment where meetings between people are central. It is an advantage if you are, or have been, active in a sports association. You also need to have an interest in sports and outdoor life, be willing to develop together with others, and prioritize good service.

Qualifications: B driver's license (Manual), high school education, and basic computer skills. You also need to have sufficiently good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
